Spring 2018 - Prince Tony Martone
Hi everyone! I’ve been going to a lot of shows and wearing my sash and hat and/or shirt. I went to the Apple Country Show, Baltimore-Howard/Hare Raisers, National Capital, Will’s Fair, and the DelVal/Furry Friends show. I helped with folders and writing. I ran Himalayans for my breed club and did the royalty contest at Himalayan nationals in Wichita, Kansas and I ran rabbits at the Lionhead Nationals at the West Coast Classic show in Reno, Nevada and also did West Coast Classic royalty. I won Prince at both West Coast Classic and the Himalayan nationals! I volunteered to help with the ANDRC youth contests while I was in Reno, and I helped with the judging and filled the piñata. Two weeks ago, I helped with a fundraiser for my 4-H club by working in the kitchen for Montgomery County Rabbit 4-H show.
My sister Anna (PaSRBA Duchess) and I helped teach some classes at Westmoreland Rabbit School earlier this year. That was fun! Anna and I also did a presentation for the Daisy Girl Scouts on rabbits and talked about raising rabbits and the PaSRBA royalty court. This helped them earn an animal “petal” (like a badge). We have been invited back to present to the Brownie troop. We also went to talk to the kindergarteners at my school about raising rabbits and PaSRBA royalty. That was an auction prize for my school’s spring auction fundraiser- someone donated $80 to the school for us to give the talk, but we would have done it for free!
I have been very busy this Spring and I’m looking forward to summer and sleeping in!
